Pastor DeAndre started teaching after re-dedicating his life to Christ in 1983. His first ministry assignment was as a lay minister, at Faith Tabernacle Church, on the north side of Chicago. While at Faith Tabernacle, he also had ministry posts, including telephone, crisis, and altar prayer counseling. While serving as a lay minister, he became the area supervisor of lay ministers, responsible for overseeing ministering to 200 families. 

After serving in the lay ministry, Pastor DeAndre began teaching children. Eventually, he became the mid-week service director and was known as a children's pastor. He served as a children's pastor at Faith Tabernacle and other churches for almost 20 years. During that time, he also taught and trained new teachers, started a marriage ministry, and trained door-to-door and street evangelists. 

Pastor DeAndre has also served in many ministries at Living Word Christian Center, under Pastor Bill Winston, in Forest Park, Illinois, including Pastoral Care and the Spiritual Guidance Center. Pastor DeAndre and his wife, Renee, are the pastors and founders of Healing River Christian Center, located in Chicago, Illinois. 

Healing River Christian Center is a church ministry focusing on empowering people to know God and to use the gifts He has given them. By empowering people to use their gifts, blind people see again, lame people are walking, those with skin diseases are made clean, deaf people hear again, dead people are brought back to life, and poor people hear the Good News.
